Jaago Re!
Client: Tata Tea

Jaago re! One Billion Votes is a national movement started by an NGO and Tata Tea to bring about a change in governance by awakening the Indian youth and enabling them to register to vote.

An unconventional approach to design and content helped us connect with the youth and provide them with a platform to be part of the change. The site engages users in a dialogue with the campaign protagonist with thought proving yet educative content. For this, it employs a highly customized and interactive approach. So, every user gets a unique,
personalized experience.

Synopsis

India has one of the largest youth populations in the world with the eligible youth voter segment (18 – 30 years) constituting close to 33%. Unfortunately, only 9 % of this segment votes. Jaago Re! One Billion Votes enables the citizens of India, especially the youth, to register to vote.

There are many issues with the current voter registration process. It is long and cumbersome, information is inadequate, and error margins are high. Jaago Re! One Billion Votes integrates internet and mobile technologies seamlessly to make the registration process faster, simpler and convenient.

The campaign provides opportunities and tools to the youth to run their own voter registration drive – amongst their friends, community or at their campuses – and even track the number of people they have registered.
